How to fix iPhone touch screen not working

Sometimes your iPhone touch screen may stop working for no apparent reason. If the screen is completely unresponsive and the cause is physical damage, then you need to bring it to an Apple center for repair.

However, if the problem occurs only occasionally, there might be something wrong with the software on your phone or the accessories you’re using. Modifying certain options on your iPhone may fix the problem. In this article, we will show you how to do this.

Clean your iPhone screen

Another possible reason why your iPhone touch screen is not working is that it has got some dust on it. If you don’t clean your phone screen regularly, the phone will eventually accumulate dust and this dust will become sticky if any sticky liquid is spilled on it.

Wet iPhone

Take a clean cloth and gently wipe your iPhone screen. You can use a wet cloth if the screen is too sticky. If available, use a high-quality screen cleaning liquid for cleaning phone and laptop screens.

Remove screen saver

Screen protectors are used to protect your phone screen but some of them are not of high quality and may cause problems with your faucets. If your iPhone’s touch screen stopped working after you applied the screen protector, this protective layer could be the culprit.

iPhone without screen protector

Remove the screen protector from your iPhone and see if the touch screen works. If so, you should purchase a high-quality screen protector so it won’t make your screen unresponsive.

Reinstalling apps may cause problems

If your iPhone’s touchscreen just becomes unresponsive when you’re using certain apps, there might be a problem with those apps. Uninstalling and reinstalling those apps might fix the problem for you.
